Used for a 15 month tour in Iraq in a scout section. Great for instant recognition at distance.

Comments about Brunton Echo Pocket Scope - 7 x 18:
This is my favorite new toy, and it was reasonably priced!I've been carrying around a Minolta 7 x 35 mini binocular in my pack for nearly 25 years. The focus wheel has gained a lot of play and it is getting difficult to get all the dirt off. So, anything new is a vast improvement. I have the use of a pair of full-size binoculars, a full size monocular and can borrow a newer mini binocular. [...]. But, I learned at the horse track a while back when drinking $1 margaritas: Saving the most amount of money is not always the best way to go! It fits right into my pocket easily and the image quality is spectacular. Be it close or far away, I look at birds, animals, flowers, buildings, landscapes, and girls. I miss it when I leave it behind. It's not waterproof. But, for its price, worst case is it ends up in the drink and I'll buy another (pocket scope that is, not margarita).
