I don't normally wear sweaters, but after trying this on I loved the comfortable lightweight fit so I bought one. It quickly became one of my favorite pieces as it looks great on it's own and also layers nicely under heavier jackets.

I'm 6'4" and fairly slim so I wear a Large-Tall combination when available. This fits perfectly for me in size L, so the sleeves and length may be a bit long for average or shorter guys who may want to try s size down from their usual.

After quite a few washes, I haven't had any issues with wear or pilling. Wash on the most gentle cycle your washer has with other gentle fabrics, use woolite or a similar gentle detergent, lay flat to dry and hopefully you won't have any problems.

Love it so much I just bought it in 2 more colors as well!

I like this sweater. I wear XL in everything else but this xl is a little long in the sleeves. I washed in hot water and dried it on high a couple of times trying to shrink it without success. I bought another in L and it's fits just right. No problems.

I wear the sweater for both work (business casual) and for nights out. It is extremely comfortable. I have not had any of the issues washing it as others have stated. I plan to purchase other colors in the future.

Well this sweater looks great, until you decide to wash it. It can't be machine dried and I too found that it shrunk significantly (not to mention unevenly) to the point that it isn't even wearable after the first wash. There was a significant amount of pilling and the shrinking along the seams, zipper and collar ruined the shirt. Not recommended, far below the usual quality you get from a north face garment.

Bought the sweater about a year ago and have finally tossed it. It took me a long time to get rid of it because I wanted to like it. I bought the black color and it was a great all-round sweatshirt/sweater with jeans, khakis, etc. The tag calls for hang/block drying. The last time I washed it my wife thought a small animal had died in the washer. The knit pills and the fabric sheds. Good riddance.

Looks like it has a great cut (it does), fit well when I tried it on in the store. I followed the washing directions to the letter, but fuzz started coming off of it in such great quantities that everything else in the wash was covered in it. It pills, it shrinks, it stretches out in strange places. I am incredibly disappointed by how poorly this sweater has performed. I don't even wear it anymore.
