Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
I love these pants! I bought them for a trip to Costa Rica where I did some hiking in the rain forest, among other things.
These pants dried very quickly after being soaked in the rain. I just had to be careful what I put in the pockets as they are not waterproof.
The pockets are in a great location, not too high or low. They are the ideal size to fit a passport and small camera. And the zippers are excellent quality and easy to use.
The little bit of stretch made them ideal for hiking rough terrain where I sometimes had to take big steps up over rocks and such.
The capri is a good length. I was afraid the zipper would hit my knee in a funny place and be uncomfortable, but they are just long enough to hit below my knees, so there's no issue.
These pants are actually long enough. I'm 6'1" (185cm) and these pants are a good length on me when I'm wearing shoes or boots. If they were 1/2" longer, they'd be great with sandals too.
The size might run a little big. I'm usually between a 10 and 12. With these pants, the 10 was a smidge loose, but the drawstring waist comfortably cinched that right up.
Two things to note are that the black isn't quite black. It's more like a really dark grey, but close enough that if you're not wearing anything else black, they'll pass for black. Also, there are no hand pockets, only the cargo pockets. That took a lot of getting used to.
Overall, I'd say these are fantastic! If they came in khaki or light grey, I'd buy more.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
These are the best pair of convertable pants I've found. Look nice and clean. Great stretchy material, but thick and durable. Very comfy. Liquids spill right off. Black doesn't show stains.
I had to pack light for Florida. These were great for plane. Used as pants in Chicago and converted to capris in Florida. Only complaint: they aren't quite long enough. An inch or two more would make them perfect. (I'm 6' tall, size 8 pants.) But otherwise they really are so great. Almost returned them because of length, but chose to keep them and glad I did. Size 8 fit true to size. Fit a bit close at crotch, but not uncomfortable. Good comfy material. Flatering. Plus thigh pockets were great for quick acess to ID at airport.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
I never liked the look of zip off pants that turn into shorts. These pants defy the dork factor by being fashionable while still having the function. I bought my first pair of Mountain Hardware pants on sale and they became my uniform. I then searched out the brand and found these YUMA pants. I'm loving the lightweight, comfortable stretch of these pants. The run a little large which was an ego boost to fit into a smaller size. Best of all I'm tall and they come in a tall length as well as regular and petite. When the bottom zips off it hits just below my kneecap, which I love. I can't wait to see what they come up with next year.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
I LOVE these pants, unfortunately the 2011 model's length is inaccurate. After purchasing 3 different pairs from 3 different REI's, two of which were size 8 and one of which was a size 6, all three of the "long's" measured 32" in inseam length and NOT 34". Very disappointed and wish REI would fix the inseam length info on their site and in store as well. Had to return all three. :/

I've tried to destroy these pants and I can't even dent them. They're insanely comfortable and look as good as new no matter how many times I slide down scree in them.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
I love these pants! I'm an avid hiker/backpacker and I've never before found a pair of convertible pants that looked good on me. These are very figure-flattering. But more importantly, they're very functional. The felted fabric around the waistband feels GREAT under a heavy pack! And there are no belt loops to chafe anywhere. The fabric is great at keeping the heat of the sun off my skin. They wash and dry very quickly. I like that when you roll up the pants or shorts, the rolls tend to stay in place. Having said that, though, it would have been nice to add a snap and tab on the shorts to allow one to wear them even shorter. I may sew these in myself. These pants seem a bit too heavy for the ounce-shaving backpacker, but the function of these pants outweighs the...well...extra weight.

I love these pants! Just bought my second pair tonight on sale. I'm hoping to find a few more in my size and stock up. The wear well, wash well, dress up or down well, and feel great. Can't say enough about good things about them - these are my go-to pants and they are definitely worth the expense.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
These pants are my most comfortable pants - hiking, traveling, around town. They can go many days without washing and still look good. If washed by hand they dry overnight. They are sized a little large, so if in doubt order the smaller size.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
I got two pairs of these pants are a birthday present, and immediately went and purchased another when I saw they were on sale. Being tall means that many pants in general don't fit correctly, and convertible pants are even worse because of where the zipper hits. I have tried many brands that claim to be comfortable and/or talls, and this is the only one that has met both those claims. The shorts are the perfect length, the zipper is out of the way when you are kneeling, and the inseam length is the perfect length.
As another person stated, there are only the leg pockets on these pants, but they are a good size, and the zipper is easy to open and close. I used them to store my camera one day, and hand wash another, and no problem with them opening or getting in the way when walking.
These repel water if there is not a lot of it, unlike some pants that just soak it up. Not a lot of repelling, but considering it didn't say anything about that, I was pleasantly surprised. They dry quickly, and are not too heavy when soaked, so crossing streams and rivers is not too bad.
All the zippers are good on these, I haven't even had one snag, and the closure for the pants is off center just a little bit. This is great when bending, because the knot in the cord when you closed it is not pressing into your stomach.
Overall, these are great. For travel you get a pair of shorts and pants, and for backpacking you get the choice with minimal weight added to your pack. Yes, they are a little expensive, but I think they will last a long long time for me. A 3 day backpacking trip where I was abusing them didn't even make them look less than new!
Service and delivery comments:
Fast shipping, good customer service. I wish the tall was purchasable in person, but at least it is easy to get online.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Long:
We hiked to Macchu Picchu, so I purchased 2 pair of northface convertible pants, 1 pair of rei convertible pants, and at the last minute 1 pair of Mountain hardware convertible. Hands down Mountain hardware were the most comfortable overall. The material was very soft next to my skin. Northface was itchy. We had to climb rocks and I didn't have to pull my pants up after the climb like I had to with northface. I have always purchased northface but now I am a believer of Mountain hardware.
