The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Lowepro Apex 30 AW Camera Pouch:
This case keeps my point and shoot camera protected from weather and impact yet easily accessible on my chest when skiing, climbing, traveling, etc. I attach a plastic clip to the camera wrist strap and clip that to the strap loop on the case. When I open the zipper, usually with one hand, I can put the strap on my wrist before unclipping the camera - thus I am completely protected from dropping the camera. If it falls out, it will just dangle from the case. I am often using this in steep places with only one hand available and I feel completely secure in using the camera. For quicker shots, I shorten the case shoulder strap so I can just lift the clipped-in camera to my eye and take the shot without detaching the camera from the case. I like that AW30 case has enough room to carry my Canon 650 is with 4 spare AA batts, extra SD cards, a tiny tripod, and a Leica lens cleaning pen. This is my entire camera kit for a a 2 week trip to Europe or a week on the Haute Route.

Comments about Lowepro Apex 30 AW Camera Pouch:
This is the best camera case we've found yet! We use this case for our Panasonic TZ camera. We also own a larger Panasonic model for which we bought the bigger sized case (not apparently sold at REI, but my experience with both proves to me that this model series is great!).
The case has a long carry strap, and is made from a sturdy fabric with a belt loop on the back as well. The inner case is bright orange, and is divided by an extra layer of padding behind which your camera fits. Access to the pouch is by zipper which helps keep debris and other unwanted and unfriendly camera enemies out. The case also boasts an SD card pocket, and a mesh pocket for spare batteries. It also includes a pop-out rain cover, tucked discreetly behind the belt loop on the back. This is a wonderful feature--no more hurrying to get the camera into my pack, as I can instead just pull out the mini rain cover in a downpour and all is protected.
The case is more expensive than many, but it's well worth it. Highly recommended!!
Also: Go to Lowe Pro's website and click the "find the bag that's right for your specific needs" link on the left of the main page. You can quickly check sizing and fit for your specific model. I think this case will fit most of the compact Panasonic cameras at least, and will likely fit most other compact point and shoots.

Comments about Lowepro Apex 30 AW Camera Pouch:
I use a Canon S100, and before that an S90 for travel and casual photography. I haven't noticed anything negative about this case but the feature that makes it stand apart for me is that it provides pockets large enough to store a spare memory card and a spare battery as well as the camera.

Comments about Lowepro Apex 30 AW Camera Pouch:
This is handy for holding camera, memory card, and extra batteries yet with a slim profile. However, it is a very snug fit for a Canon PowerShot SX120IS. It fits, but it takes a bit of wiggling to get it in and out, so if you plan to have it accessible instantly, that would be a drawback. The original Canon case fits better, but I lost the shoulder strap.

Comments about Lowepro Apex 30 AW Camera Pouch:
This case is so nice. I have a Sony Cybershot H55 and it fits great in this case with a battery, memory card and a cleaning cloth. Everything fits in its own place keeping the accessories from scratching or damaging anything. It has a great Velcro belt holder so you can put it on and take it off fast and easy. The weather cover is also a great feature. You wont even know its there until you need it and then it fits nicely over to protect your case from the elements. The case is not too bulky with all of these features and it seems like the perfect combination of features and functionality.
