This vest is the perfect solution for keeping me warm when I'm hiking. I always get either too hot with a jacket on, or too cold without one, but the vest is just the right amount of warmth for me. It's lightweight and stuffs easily into my pack without taking up much room. The pockets are a nice size and really warm since they're lined. All in all, a good investment.

This is the first Marmot item I have purchased. I was very impressed with the excellent quality of this vest. Only drawback is that overall it runs small for stated size. I normally wear L-XL. I ordered L first; it fit like a medium would on me. I loved the quality so much, I exchanged it for an x-large, hoping it would fit. It did, although it is snug, it is still very comfortable.

I bought one 3 years ago, still looks and holds up great. On the small side, I wear a medium and usually am a size small. Use it for hiking, skiing in usual NW weather, 25-35 degrees, under my gortex shell. Just bought a new one, as liked the colors this year.

Great vest. I bought the black size medium and am 5'6", 128 lbs, with a 34DD chest. Fits perfectly. A prior review suggests sizing up but I did not find that to be necessary for me. (Mine was purchased in 2011 and that reviewer bought hers in 2010. Perhaps they changed the sizing.) I also do not believe this vest runs short. It's a vest meant to rest high-mid hip, which it does, not cover your derriere. The black color is great - not shiny at all. This is my first vest in a gazillion years and I am so happy with it. Plan to LIVE in this for a long time!

I had to return this vest because the size small that I ordered was so skimpy. It was very short and I couldn't even consider keeping it. I like my clothes rather snug to keep me warm, but this was too much so. I hope to find another vest that isn't so skimpy. Also, the color- black- that I ordered was very shiny. If the fit had been better, I might still have returned it for a different color.
