    In preparation for snow shoeing around Mt Rainier, I bought the covert beanie recently and it worked perfectly for 20+ degree weather active wear. The fleece is soft and highly breathable and has kept my head warm even when heavily perspiring. It has withstood washes and kept its form. The headband is not contoured, may slightly look like a beret, and may not cover ears completely, but does provide complete coverage around the neckline and browline to protect from the cold, light rain, and light snow. The beanie went on sale within the 30 days I purchased it, and REI adjusted the price with no problem.

          Comments about Arc'Teryx Covert Beanie:

          Since I'm a big fan of the Covert sweaters it was no surprise that I liked this so much. Great feel to the fabric, sits nicely on the head and provides nearly complete ear coverage. Looks great, of course. It might run small for those with large heads. I have a medium head with no hair and it fits me well. Might be a bit tight around the trim for those larger than I.
