Comments about Brunton Trail Buster 9030 Compass:
This is an old Scout standby. It's fine for short distance trekking (from and back to that downed deer, etc.) You can run over it with a tank and it still keeps ticking. Don't try to compare it with a professional orienteering compass... it's simply not. This is the one to keep in the glove box for "jumping out on short notice." Very reliable but extremely basic.
