The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated3out of5byTJFfromComfortable but...These sunglasses are great as long as you don't touch the lens or actually wear them while working hard on the trail.
While they're very comfortable and provide excellent protection from glare, they nicked up almost immediately for me despite my trying to be as careful as possible when handling them and using a lightweight case. But the real issue for me is how easily they seem to fog up. Maybe that's not something everyone has experienced but, for me, it's actually proven dangerous a few times. And because they scratch so easily I can't just take them off and wipe them with a poly shirt.
I dig the look, comfort and glare protection but in terms of funtion I'm not especially pleased with how they've performed.

Rated4out of5byPranaMedicfromPerformed admirably at Burning Man 2013Use them at work in EMS, very good with glare. Durable. Stuffed them in an overstuffed CamelBak for Burning Man 2013 and they endured well. Seem pretty rugged lenses ... lemme go check the post-playa-dust damage ... wow - remarkably pristine. I didn't wear them a lot -- but enough to get enough dust to shirt-tail light-wipe them and no real scratches.

Rated4out of5bySMDavefromGood glassesI bought these as a fairly inexpensive pair of sunglasses for a backpacking trip at Philmont Scout Ranch. I wore them for 10 days on the trail and they did a good job protecting my eyes from the sun. The polarization really cut down the glare, especially up on Mt. Baldy (12K'), and my eyes were not tired at the end of the day.
The frames are flexible, not stiff. As a result, he inside corners of the lenses at the nose bridge did pop loose a couple of times but were easily reseated and the lenses themselves did not fall out of the frames.

Rated4out of5byRMendfromNo glareGreat for bright, sunny days. Very effective in reducing glare. Can wear them for hours, but they do get a little bothersome on the nose after an extended time.

Rated3out of5bydarrylzfromGreat price, good valueI have bought two pair of these sunglasses, one as a replacement for a lost pair. I was initially pleased with their price and performance, and found they worked well for hiking, cycling, kayaking and tennis.
They are lightweight, with a wide field of vision, no distortion, good lens color (I have the reddish frame which has a slightly warm lens color), and a comfortable non-slip fit.
However, after two years of hiking with them every weekend, I find they have broken down. The rubber nosepiece has disintegrated and is not replaceable. One of the temples has developed a hairline crack (just from normal use) that will eventually break completely. Also, when the earpieces are folded in, they rub against the inside of the lenses and scratch them, since the lenses don't seem that durable.
I still consider these sunglasses a good value for their relatively low price, but they would be a great value if they were more durable. They will perform best if handled carefully, and stored in a rigid case between uses. I think I will try another brand for my next pair.

Rated4out of5byFyredupfromAwesome, Affordable Shades!!!These glasses are great for the price! I need larger frames and these fit great. I've had several pairs of Oakleys and as great as they are, I would just as easily wear these. They are a fraction of the price of better/more expensive frames, but I feel the quality is up to par. Hopefully they will last a long time, but I would not hesitate to replace them with the same brand/style again!
