Comments about Light My Fire Spork:
Got this product separately and also as part of the Light My Fire Meal Kit. It's nice in that it's lightweight and comes in an array of colors to satisfy many but this spork is great by concept and looks great but it ends there. It's pretty flimsy and bends easily. The dual-sided design is convenient but it becomes a hassle when you eat with one side and need to flip it over to use the other. The handle part of it isn't long enough and your hands end up pushing up or touching against whatever residue of food it is that you were eating. Keep in mind I don't have man hands or anything and am a 5'4" girl.
In addition, the serrated knife edge is a nice addition...if you're going to use your hands to hold your food while you saw into it. Otherwise, you're just going to be pressing into your food hoping it'll split which you could do with the fork side.
This baby needs some re-design and more thought put into it. Forgo this one.

This lightweight multi-utensil is great so long as you don't try and work it too hard. As another reviewer said, the plastic bends easily and in fact mine snapped in half just trying to get peanut butter out of the jar. Now the two ends are too short to be any use. Have replaced it with a titanium version at perhaps 3 times the weight but am safe in the knowledge that the thing will keep performing when I need it to.

I've had a couple of these sporks for a couple years. They've held up well to heavy use. I find the knife part to be a little useless, that's my only complaint. I don't tend to eat meals while backpacking that require cutting sooo.... not useful for me. I love this lil guy! Great product!

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:
We use these all the time whenever we go hiking/camping/backpacking. The wide color choice is nice when finding your own utensil after meal clean-up. The handle could be slightly longer. When you're using one utensil for multiple meals that may require a fork or spoon, this is great! I've also picked up the larger version for serving one pot meals.

Don't know what that girl was talking about - this thing works great. Cuts easily, forks easily, spoons easily. It's not meant for well-done steak, of course - that's what knives are for. The double-ended design makes it a little awkward to flip it around, but it works. It's for minimalists: carry one utensil, not three.

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:
Ok, these things are a great idea, but I've broken way too many of them and I'm not rough on my gear; i pamper my stuff. IF THIS PRODUCT WERE AVAILABLE IN TITANIUM IT WOULD BE THE BEST OUTDOOR UTENSIL ON THE MARKET! Sorry for the all caps I got that out of my system, I promise. They really are cool, but they just break too [*] easily. Please please please please make one in titanium and I'll toss all my other utensils.

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:
This spork is definitely light weight, and it comes in fun colors. I wanted to like it, but after a week in the woods I am not impressed. It is pretty flimsy, don't even think about using it to cook with. It's fine for eating, but you have to be super careful with it because it WILL break. Unless you plan on babying your silverware, stay away from this little guy.

i don't know how the other people get them to break??!! i got mine in with the kit and love it. we even use ours to cook with and it doesn't melt....and maybe the new ones are more 'bendy' as people put it but i would have to put in some real effort to break it. nice to color code them to when camping for different dishes, people, etc.

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:
The best utensil I've had.
But the only in-store color available was the blue-gray -- difficult to find inside the pack and easy to misplace at the campsite.
The knive feature wasn't very functional but I always carry a jackknife anyway.

Comments about Light My Fire Spork:
Love this lil' guy. Granted, its not the best to cut food, but that's what knives are for. I usually keep on in my pack or purse, and I have gotten many a compliment on them....even got a coworker to pick one up. And very easy to clean
For the price, why not just grab one?
