After much research we purchased this seat for our 1.5 year old toddler. Everything about the seat is great except for one big problem. The seat back is relatively high and it seems as though the high back is pushing against our toddler's helmet so badly that within a few minutes of riding the helmet slips forward over our toddler's face! Needless to say, having a helmet covering your face instead of your skull is not only unsafe but also leads to one cranky kid! Our child has a pretty big head and we bought the smallest helmet available so I don't think there is a problem with the fit of the helmet (but I could be wrong). I think the problem is that the seat back was designed without taking a child wearing a helmet into consideration. If anyone has had a similar problem and come up with a solution for keeping the helmet in place I'd be very interested to hear about it. I think the iBert seat might be a better alternative for younger children.

I use this almost daily with my child. He loves it. It's easy to adjust. It's very sturdy. It doesn't interfere with my center of gravity. My son has a place to rest his hands. I can lean the whole bike and seat against a rail/wall and lift him out very easily and I just love how easy it is to put him in and lift him out. He's fallen asleep many times while riding. Excellent product.

We love this seat so much we have two. Child can even fall asleep on it!
Would be nice if the back of it had a place to put my backpack, though, although this might cause some kind of liability as it would shift gravity.
Riding with a backpack cuts down on the kids' space, but it's do-able.

I commute to work 26 miles round trip, everyday. My daughter is two and a half. She loves this seat! She asks, Where's my bike, Daddy?" "Let's for a ride, Daddy!", everyday since we've owned it. I'm very glad I made this purchase. It fits fine on a Surly LHT 56cm.

So disappointed! Got the product in the mail after a weeks wait. Opened it up, got ready to install, then realized I didn't have fork tubes on my bike. Out of 4 bikes, we had one with the tubes and only one bike to install this upon...my husbands OLD mtn bike. I'm wicked disappointed that the description didn't give more information about installation and it also didn't give an age range for the usage. The REI employee and a bike shop told me it didn't have one and it does...1-4. My daughter is almost 4, but only 29 lbs so I am sure this would have been fine-had I been able to install it.
Time to figure out plan C, whatever that may be.

This is truly a well made and well designed product with only one exception, the seat should recline enough so that a sleeping child's head (in this case my toddler's head) doesn't fall forward and from side to side.

I've had this product for a year and I'm ready to try the CoPilot Limo which offers both side protection and recline.

PS I was also pleased with the little shock absorbers at the bottom of this seat, and its relatively easy removal and installation.
