This product is worth every penny. I live and work in East Africa. Since I live by myself, it is vital for me to be on top of my own treatments when I fall ill. So far, whenever I get sick/injured, this kit provides me with the medical advice, medicine, or treatments I need to get better. It has almost anything you could need. Of course there are some prescription-only pills the kit doesn't have, but aside from those, it has saved my life on several occassions--from severe diarrhea and fever to infected wounds!

Overall A+ kit. The two things that I would highly recommend adding is QuickClot or Celox for trauma and eye drops for allergies, irritation, dryness, etc. Additionally,f you're trained, adding a 3-0 suture, 5-0 suture, iodine & an irrigation syringe may also make sense if you're going an an extended trip.

Excellent array of OTC medications and a very good kit for backpacking, hiking, camping, boating, sailing & more.

Don't let the listed weight fool you, remove the book from it and you can take a lot of the weight listed on the specs page away from this.

This has everything you could need in a first aid kit and I haven't yet been able to think of anything that I would need to add on my own. The book included is handy, but by no means necessary if you know your way around first aid.

While it may be a bit heavier than the ultralight kit Adventure Medical also offers, the added items and peace of mind from having them make this well worth it.
