    Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I have been using these bowls regularly for over a year now and I don't have any complaints. they can be used as a plate, bowl, cutting board, card/dice table, smoke shifter, fan etc.... The more creative you are the more uses you'll get. these bowl fit perfectly inside all of my backpacks hydration holders, take up no room at all and are almost weightless. oh and I have used the bowls hundreds of times with no problems with the snaps.

      Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I thought to replace our old lexan cups with these but found out that food creeps in behind the folded seams. This means you have to kind of scrub the opened surface off after use for thorough cleaning. There is no handle so the folded bowl does not function well for holding hot drinks. I don't know if the folded seams will hold up to wear and tear, but I would be wary about that too-split a seam out in the boonies and you have lost your cup or bowl. [$] for a foldable flat plastic sheet with buttons is a bit high, although the idea looked promising. I think my wife and I can use the two of them for splitting apart a store-bought salad while car touring, but we will not take them backpacking.

Had no problems with the product on the last 6 day trip I took. Very compact for use with bear can. Cleaning the cracks seemed to be a daunting task. The weight can not be compared to anything and putting boiling water into it is no problem. Excellent product.

        Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I recently took these bowls on a desert camping/climbing trip. They worked perfectly at lunchtime, in the noon-day heat. The snaps would not catch when the temperature was below 50 degrees, however (ie. - early morning breakfast and dinner after dark). I recommend the Orikaso folding bowls with the tuck-in tabs instead.

        Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I'm recommending these, but with serious reservations. They are wonderfully lightweight and packable, but be sure to test the snaps in the store before you buy. Even then, when you bring them home, put them in the freezer for about 20 min, then try the snaps again. QC seems to be inconsistent and while some Fozzils pass with flying colors, other fail the freezer test dismally. If yours fail, take them back to the store or risk having a bowl of food suddenly dumped in your lap on a chilly evening in bear country. Also, avoid getting soap in the snaps. If you do, (and why wouldn't you?) be sure to rinse thoroughly with hot water.
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to the next gen when hopefully the manufacturer has worked the bugs out.

          Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I received a Fossilz cup a couple of years ago as a gift and have used it on every backpacking trip since then, so I finally decided to buy some of the bowls. Tried to snap them together as soon as I got home from the store and one of the snaps wouldn't close. For the price, those snaps need to work, no questions asked.

          Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I have used these bowls several times every day for the last six months while traveling (at least 300 times). They just started to leak at the corners but frankly I have put them through a lot of abuse. They are super lightweight, take up as much room as a few pieces of paper and are useful as both a bowl and a plate. The snapping is a bit difficult for the first thirty uses or so but once they are broken in they snap easily and hold well. I probably shortened the lifespan by microwaving them while folded as a bowl, afterwards they were stuck in a semi-bowl position for a few days. I wouldn't recommend microwaving them.
I will probably buy another pair.

            Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I've used these on multiple trips this summer. While occasionally one or two of the snaps need TLC, and of course you need to unfold to fully clean, they have worked great, fit easily in the pack and weigh very little. I haven't tried other folding products, but these will be staying in my pack.

The paint comes off of these, sometimes in your food. The plastic snaps to hold them together do not stand up to the test of time and like to unsnap themselves at all the wrong times. The cup pours out of the sides when you're drinking and onto you. All in all, find something else.

                Comments about Fozzils Bowlz Set:

I used to have an Orikaso folding bowl that worked great for many years, as it could be used as a cutting board for preparing a meal and then converted to a bowl for consumption. The key was that the Orikaso bowl had flaps that folded over to hold the bowl shape, whereas this Fozzils bowl relies on plastic snaps that do not hold together very reliably. While snow camping on Rainier a few weeks ago the snaps would not hold at all, and we were down one bowl for every meal. I'll be returning this product.
