Comments about Continental Ultra GatorSkin Foldable Tire - 700 x 23:
Took these tires off today after 2+ years and 5,000 miles (2 tire rotations). The tires are very worn but still functional. Replaced with the regular Gatorskin tire.

Great tire. Installing was a little hard due to a tighter bead but not bad. I would recommend to anyone.

Comments about Continental Ultra GatorSkin Foldable Tire - 700 x 23:
The first set sent, did not fit. I called my local REI. After being told I probably ordered the wrong size, this was my third set of tires on this bike, I brought them in for the technician to put them on. When he found out that they were the right size and he could not get them on, I was given a set that fit. Those were excellent tires. They ride like any high quality tire, (no noticeable stiffness) but have added puncture resistance. I have slightly more than 400 miles on them so far. I ride on varying surfaces (bike path, chipseal roads, pothole infested roads, wet, dry, sandy pavement and a down hill stretch that I break forty mph on) during my 60 mile, twice a week commute to work. I have had no flats and have nothing bad to say about these tires.

Comments about Continental Ultra GatorSkin Foldable Tire - 700 x 23:
I bought these to replace the factory 700/25's. The are quite a bit nicer, but as with any smaller tire, the ride is a little rougher. The weight is less, rolling resistance is less. I have not used them in the rain and I don't intend to.

Comments about Continental Ultra GatorSkin Foldable Tire - 700 x 23:
I ride about 6000 miles per year spread over 4 bikes. I used to run Michelin Pro but they were too expensive. Switched to Serfas Seca, but they didn't wear well and were puncture-prone. Next was Specialized Armadillos. They wore well but the handling was sketchy. Now the Gatorskins are my fave. Great handling and durability. Not as fast as the Michelins but much more durable. They are expensive, but if you don't have to buy them as often I guess it all works out.

I switched to these tires a couple years ago on my wife's and my bike, and it's amazing how tough they are. 5000 miles a year and rarely a flat. On race day they come off due to the rolling resistance, but they are perfect for training.

Comments about Continental Ultra GatorSkin Foldable Tire - 700 x 23:
I had armadillos on my road bike prior to putting these tires on. Was happy with the armadillos in that I never got a flat with them despite some rough roads here in San Diego. But they rode stiffly and rough at times. Bought these tires and really notice the difference. They are lighter, faster and smoother. So far have been flat resistant as well.

I've always road with Continental tires. This is the first time I could not get the bead over a new set of deep dish clincher rims I recently purchased. Otherwise, a good tire.
