The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Continental Grand Prix 4000 Foldable Tire - 700 x 23:
I have put them through 3 century rides on the city streets so I am ready to review them:
I am Loving these RED 4000 tires!
I had no idea when I got them that RED tires would yield so many more benefits than black tread:
Not only are they super light and fast, with a compound that superbly grips the road at all angles, but they come with a wear indicator that lets you know when to replace them. I have not had any flats in the first 500 miles.
Some of the great advantages of RED tires are that you can more easily see all the debris on your tread and immediately see if there are any cuts or abrasions or things stuck in the tire that could cause a flat. Dangerous debris is a lot harder to see on black.
They can be cleaned, and you can tell if they are clean for those that like to clean their bike thoroughly. If you keep your bike inside, you can easily see if something is on the tire that needs to be cleaned before you put it on carpet.
They are more visible to motorists, because the RED sticks out making your ride on the streets more visible. I also get many compliments on the RED tires because few cyclists have them--they look professional and unique.
They are easy to install. I recommend rounding them out with your hand after you unfold them.
I installed them with specialized pre-talc lightweight tubes for the best performance, but that is not required.
