Comments about Gerber Option 60 Flashlight:

I was looking for a good flashlight to use when I'm doing night search and rescue operations. This is a good hand held spot light. I like the size, beam and light output. I LOVE that I can operate it from a CR123, 2-AAA or 2-AA batteries. The two downfalls that keep this light from being perfect is that it is SUPER slippery, smooth aluminum does not stay in your hand very well and the rear button activates far to easily. If you throw this in a pack expect the battery's to be dead when you get it out. I put a bike handle bar grip on it(took A LOT of effort) so it is no longer slippery. If it had a lockout to prevent accidentally turning on and had a non slip handle I would give it 5 stars but those two items make this just a mediocre light for the money.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
