Comments about SealLine Kodiak Taper Dry Bag - 20 Liters:
I'm a few years into my second set of these 20 liter tapered dry bags. Thanks to Seal Line replacing the first set I returned when the plastic plug/purge valve broke. I carry my sleeping bag [a 28 degree synthetic or lately down] in the bow and my tent [2 man Hubba Hubba] in the stern and can't imagine using a 35 liter size for unless I was paddling on one of the Poles or putting clothes, tent sleeping bag in one big bag. I learned lots of single bags fit better than a few big bags.
Anyhow my one gripe with these and has had me looking periodicaly for a new improved design is the purge valve lets air back in the bag. So it is not enough to purge all the air out once when I stuff the bag but I have to do it again right before I put it through the hatch, and since I'm loading right at the waters edge I usually have to run up the beach to find a dry spot to kneel on these again to purge a second time. I have switched to Pacific Outdoor equipment for all my other drybags because they use a conventional twist type valve that I can first purge by squeezing then by sucking all remaining air out, and these bags are shrink wrapped around my gear making everything fit W/O a problem. POE doesn't appear to make a taper anymore and the Sea to Summit with eVent a 35 liter [too big], so I'll just have to keep running back and forth when loading. I have new had a wet but then bag have almost always managed to keep water out of my hatches

Comments about SealLine Kodiak Taper Dry Bag - 20 Liters:
I bought a couple of these dry bags for the stern compartment of my Current Designs Caribou S. My Caribou has a skeg box in back, so the two tapered dry bags are ideal for wedging in on either side of that. I toss an extra gas canister and an old Thermarest + Compack Chair all the way astern, then lay these in up against the sides of the skeg box. They're perfect for making the most of that space.
For the bow compartment of my boat, the 35L long tapered version of this is more ideal for making use of that space. Your boat may differ, though, so check dimensions to make sure...
