I got this bag once I started kayaking, and it's held up great over time and has never leaked. The purge valve works great for compression and doesn't let in any water. I've found that this bag is also great for snorkeling - I just fill it with anything that needs to stay dry, throw it into a mesh bag with a strap, and keep it over my shoulder while I swim and I never have to leave anything behind on the beach. The bright color also makes me more visible, which is a nice plus.

I use this bag for anything and everything that I want to keep dry. I just got back from the BWCA and used one for my clothes and one for my food. The valve is great for pressing air out of the pack and stuffing it into my backpack. As a food bag it's great for keeping all my food and kitchen stuff together in one place. The loop closure is nice for carabining the bag to a line and lifting the whole thing into the trees to keep it away from animals (bears, raccoons, etc).
On portages I carabine extra bags to the outside of backpack and carry the canoe over my head. These bags work great for that and make portaging easy.
