I keep this shaker in my purse. That way, when I eat out, I have my own healthier sea salt. That regular table salt is not good. I have tried other products but I end up with salt all over the bottom of my purse because it either leaks or the cap comes off.....and I don't like carrying around a ziploc bag full of salt! So yes, this item is so perfect. I love it. My mom and sister have it too and use it for the same reason. And yes, it is perfect for camping. :)

This is one of the few "comforts of home" I have to have on the trail. In fact I take 2. One with kosher salt & fresh course ground pepper. (Because of the lid the pepper stays fresh and the holes are big enough for course pepper and kosher salt!) and one for some homemade fish seasoning and lemon pepper. I also take a 2-4oz Nalgene bottle with olive oil and a clove of garlic in it. With this light weight cooking kit I can turn an alpine fishing trip or a week long backpacking trip in to a gourmet experience. Mmm

Love these little shakers. I have two. One has salt and pepper, the other has garlic salt and season salt. They're easy to fill, caps stay on secure. No more trying to rubberband some plastic wrap over the top of the salt shaker! I just keep them in my mess kit.

This is just one of those things that turns dinner into a potential gourmet experience. I actually have three of these and I want more!

I've used plenty of camping salt/pepper shakers in the past and they all leaked or allowed the seasonings to absorb moisture, so everything starts clumping up. That will only happen with these if you light to season your dinner over the steam.

I cannot recommend this product enough, it's just so handy to have and makes any meal a culinary delight!

I travel for work and this little shaker is great. I don't have to look for salt or pepper when I'm out cause its right in my bag in one little unit. The caps are twist off so I don't have to worry about spilling either.
