Bought this for car camping since I love black pepper. Unfortunately, after some time the cap begins to slip on the shaft when you try to grind- the square shaft fits into a socket in the rubber cap- and that rubbery material isn't stiff enough to hold the shaft securely, so the shaft has begun to spin. I think it would be OK if you adjusted it for a finer grind, but I like coarse.
It's going back, much to the disappointment of my taste buds.

I am a minimalist camper, but my comfort driven partner also loves this little gem. We bought one for car camping, but it is so small and light that we also use it for backpacking. We are buying two more -- one for home and one to keep in the car so we have fresh pepper even if we 'dine' on fast food. The cap keeps stray pepper crumbs contained, and snaps to the top for secure storage. This would be a great gift item.
