Comments about GSI Pinnacle Camper Cookset:
Overall this is a great set.
Pros: Very easy to clean, skillets/pots are excellent, built in strainer on the lid is great.
Cons: Cups don't fit in chair cup holders. The surface of the plates is very slick making it hard to keep full plates of foods like pasta actually on the plate.
Note: People have reported burning their plastic lids to the pots. I can see how this is possible but would really only happen if you are very careless with your flame.
I keep a pot holder on the outside of the set to protect the bottom of the skillet and keep the holder handy.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Camper Cookset:
My boyfriend and I were extremely excited about this cookset. We researched it and this seemed to be one of the best options out there. We bought it, and immediately discovered that the wash-basin design had changed from the buckle closure to the velcro (simply not acceptable for anyone who might camp in a sandy area). In addition, one of the velcro straps was not stitched in properly, and basically fell off the first time we assembled our new camping cookset. As this was all before we even used the kit, we were, admittedly, off to a bad start.
GSI was very accommodating and replaced the washbasin (and were kind enough to send one with a buckle). The cookset's maiden voyage was when spent a week in Joshua Tree. Our friends were impressed with out spiffy new cookset.... right up until one of the lids started melting during normal use, and it became clear that the plastic material the plates and cups are made out of are virtually impossible to get clean under normal camp conditions.
I really, really liked the way this set was designed, but the materials were sadly below par. We returned it as soon as we got back from Joshua Tree. If the materials were better, this would have been a five-star purchase.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Camper Cookset:
I got this kit for car camping and when we'll be on horseback. The set works well and is compact and "light" for a four person set. The only issue I have is with the retention system on the wash basin that is intended to hold the kit together. It isn't as shown on the box or in the pictures. It's just a simple velcro strap that doesn't hold anything together. Hold it upside down and shake it a little and you have pots and cups everywhere. If it was as advertised with the side release buckle I would've rated it higher.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Camper Cookset:
Bought this for the all-in-one ease of having everything in one package. Camp with 2 small boys so we go into the woods with a ton of stuff. Really great to have such a compact kitchen setup.
Everything worked great, had coffee in the cups and feed 3 yr old pasta out of a bowl. Only issue I found-and knew about before buying-only one pot handle. 2 pots and a pan but only one handle...I know you can buy more but at $120 it doesn't seem like to much to ask for a second handle. That and a place to put some utensils maybe.

I use this cookset when My entire family goes backpacking. It all ties in together so you don't have to go looking for anything. It's light and carries well. Easily cleans up and stores for the next meal. Also when we go car camping it works just as well.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Camper Cookset:
We have used this on a couple of camping trips now. I love how complete the set is, including the sink/carrying case. We've used the Coleman stove and the campfire as heat sources and both were effective. There are a couple of drawbacks. The cups don't fit into a standard cup holder because of their shape. Also, I like to make tea in the mornings, but noticed that it tends to taste and smell like plastic. I've used both the cups and bowls just to compare and it's the same. Must be the heat from the water, I guess. I haven't noticed any off taste using the plates. Everything is very easy to clean. The plates do scratch pretty easily, but I don't particularly care about that. Generally, a great cookset but I wouldn't recommend hot drinks.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Camper Cookset:
I think this camp set has so many great things about it! I love how everything nests together perfectly and is color coded. I do wish it came with utensils. All my friends want this set after they go camping with me. :)
The only thing I would caution is to be careful when using the lid on the frying pan. Mine melted! I exchanged it, and now I just don't use a lid at all on the frying pan.
Otherwise, a great purchase!
