I bought a pair of these over 10 years ago, and use them for year round commuting in the rainy Willamette Valley of Oregon. I have taken them on yearly tours as well. Enough space for 25-30 lb of touring gear, but a smaller load can be stabilized with the straps. I think the set I bought was just a little larger than these. After a decade of hard use, I put my stuff in plastics bags if the rain is really pounding down, as there is just a little leakage. I have lost one screw, but otherwise they are still structurally sound. We have had cheap panniers that croaked in one trip, so these are worth the price.

I got these after a pair of REI ones leaked on me. I used them on a three week ride across Ireland and France. I was thoroughly rained on, and these kept my stuff very dry. Construction and attachment are solid.
