The GSI Bugaboo Hiker cookset delivers a desirable blend of size, weight and cooking performance, letting you whip up delicious meals from the comfort of your backcountry campsite.

Set includes 2 polypropylene bowls, 2 insulated mugs, 2 Sip-It lids, a nonstick aluminum pot with lid, a pot gripper and a stuff sack
Cascadian-series mugs nest securely inside bowls, which in turn nest within the 2-liter pot; color-coded mugs and bowls prevent mix-ups
Bugaboo-series cookware features a durable and attractive painted finish that protects the aluminum core from abrasion and oxidation
Teflon® Classic nonstick cooking surface on the 2-liter pot speeds cleanup and is scratch resistant
BPA-free plastic lid is lightweight and features an integrated strainer ideal for use with pasta and steamed vegetables; flip-up tab on top of lid makes for easy lid removal

This is a sweet little set for backpacking. Conducts heat VERY well- I had water boiling in just a few minutes and it really seemed to cut down on the cooking time. The built-in stainer is nice as well if you are making pasta but be careful when you drain the water- it is easy to burn yourself or dump the food if you are not paying attention. I have made pastas, soups, omelettes, and even popcorn in it and all turned out great. The insulated cups and wee bowls are beyond perfect. Finally, it packs nice and tight and takes little room in your pack. Love it.

The one big con is that the top for the pot is plastic and can melt if you are not considerate of that fact. I don't cook with the lid on and would not suggest you do either.

I bought this product over a year ago for a yearly backpacking/hiking trip with buddies and this product holds up great! It distrubutes heat evenly, so water boils quickly and cleans up nicely with no problems. I've done everything from boil water to make dumplings for chicken in this pot and never had an issue.

The insulated cups and bowls are great to use and also easy to clean. Everything condenses down and takes up very little room in my pack.

Comments about GSI Bugaboo Hiker Cookset:

Perfect small set that takes up little room. We used it on a camping trip this weekend for several meals. The pot was mostly used for warming up beans and chili at dinner time. We used the cups for morning coffee and bowls for oatmeal at breakfast. I'm very happy with this set. Because it's so good, my only regret is that I didn't purchase a set with more pieces!
