I live on the Oregon Coast and this rain cover is an absolute necessity for getting my infant twins out of the house. It keeps them dry and warm in situations where the standard cover would not have done the job. It also works well as a wind cover - the standard cover lofts when caught at the wrong angle and will disrupt a pleasant nap. But not this cover

My only complaints are the cost (all of these Chariot accessories really add up!) and the side tie downs are a bit of a pain to manipulate when a downpour catches you unexpectedly. Most of the time I just don't tie it down at all - the elastic edges have kept it on pretty well all on their own. If it's windy, that's a different story . . .

The rain cover works great but it is only necessary for heavy rain when you are out for an extended period of time. The built-in rain cover on the CX2 works almost as well in heavy rain.
