I used this towel while backpacking along the Superior Hiking Trail and also while car camping in a Wisconsin state park. I just have this size, which is the largest one, but I wasn't going ultralight. It worked great because each day after bathing, I could wash it and rinse it out, wring out the water and hang it up to dry. The included snap loop is convenient. I had a clean dry towel each morning and I didn't have to bring a bunch of towels for my week-long car camping trip.

Just got it today pulled it out and immediately got it wet...it just kept sucking in water until it was saturated.

I wringed it out but being in Florida and 80% humidity most of the time it did not dry out completely. Thats to be expected in this state.

I bought the extra large for the ability to wrap around me at the beach or changing. Once you realize how much water it absorbs you will realize an extra large is way more water than anyone could ever need to towel off. Also for the water it can hold it is insanely lightweight.

I purchased two of the extra large towels prior to a camping trip: one for me, one for my boyfriend. I didn't use my towels during the camping trip, but I did use it after showering at home to see whether it worked the way I hoped it would. I was worried that I'd end up with a towel that would work well for part of the job I wanted it to do.

This towel was more absorbent than my huge, fluffy bathroom towels! I would recommend using these anywhere you don't want to lug a full-sized (bulky) towel with you: on a trip in case hotel towels don't do the job, at the beach, camping, general swimming at a lake or a hot spring.

It dried quickly after use, so packing multiple towels wouldn't be necessary for a longer trip. I love how small and thin it packs up to be--I can put it in my small daypack without feeling like it's overstuffed.

Now if I can only find a nice beach/outdoor blanket that is so thin!
