      I enjoy the shoes for MTB. After the shoes break in they grow in width a touch so purchase the shoe a bit tigher than looser, if that makes any sense.
      I would imagine they are also good for cycling classes since theya are easy to walk around in. Not good for the hard core cyclist since they are not as stiff as a "pro" shoe.

      I've been through back creeks, fallen in thick mud, and had to walk my bike out of some nasty spots and the Shimano shoes have done well in each situation.

          I purchased these shoes to go with a set of Shimano M324 two sided cliplless pedals and have been very happy with them. I use them for a daily 10 mile bike - subway - bike commute, and the shoes have been surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in. Engagement-disengagement with the SPD pedals is a breeze once you get used to it, and I love the fact that they just look like a pair of hiking shoes; no buckles, straps, clasps, or other attachment devices to worry about, just lace em' up snug and you're good to go.

          I've been wearing the shoes during the summer here in southern California and ventilation is pretty good. The shoes are a little heavy, but that would probably serve you well if you were to take them off road as intended. All in all, a decent shoe at a good price - I would definitely recommend them.
