Designed to keep you comfortable while clipping bolts and climbing difficult routes, the Black Diamond Ozone climbing harness is optimized for serious sport climbing.

  • Kinetic Core Construction™ (KC²) employs a tri-laminate of liquid crystal polymer (LCP) strands that are distributed along the horizontal axis of the harness belt
  • LCP strands are sandwiched between lightweight taffeta and layered with polyethylene foam inserts; a durable nylon shell and a soft, breathable lining complete the design
  • KC² eliminates bulk and distributes the load evenly throughout the harness, offering excellent comfort while working routes
  • Bullhorn-shaped waistbelt is ergonomically designed for all-day comfort
  • Lightweight aluminum Speed Adjust buckle is pre-threaded for quick and secure 1-handed operation
  • 2 pressure-molded polyethylene gear loops are reinforced with nylon webbing to provide excellent racking space with high strength
  • Rear elastic straps feature low-profile metal buckles that adjust easily; buckles slot into a sleeve to keep them seated and protect the elastic

    I was really excited about this harness, but after two days of sport climbing, the leg loops started folding, and deforming near my inner thighs. This reduced the surface area that supported my weight and created a lot of pressure on my legs. This would occur any time I hung, or was holding somebody while belaying. Definitely the worst harness I have ever used.

        Had this harness for about three months, I climb around three times a week in it, both for the gym and for sport climbing outdoors. It has worked out perfect for me. Very comfortable. I have not had any problems with it becoming deformed or folding. Would recommend it for any sport climbers.

            Comments about Black Diamond Ozone Harness:

            This harness was very uncomfortable belaying and being lowered - whenever it had to transfer weight. Being light does not make up for it being uncomfortable.

            I am 6 ft. 165 and climb twice a week for over 15 years. Another friend, similiar build had a similiar experience. I would recommend that anyone who considers this harness suspends themselves in it from a rope to determine if it is as comfortable as their previous harness.
