Comments about REI MultiTowel XX Large Towel - 57" x 33.5":
Bottom line, this towel is absolutely the only towel you will ever need again! I don't even use my egyptian cotton towels to dry off at home anymore. These towels are light weight and very effective. Normally you have to wipe the same spot several times with a cotton towel in order to get it dry, but with this towel, it is as if the towel sucks the water off of you the first time you touch it to yourself. I know that it sounds like I am trying to be funny right now, but I am serious. You won't have to wipe the same spot more than once. I am buying three more of these today! I would recommend getting the XL or XXL if you plan on using it as a perminent towel.

Reinforcing both the above reviews - this is a wonderful towel but DO NOT use it near 'stickies', dry grass, beach vegetation etc. Sticky vegetation will not come off, no matter what. We learnt from bitter experience and now we've got one blue towel that's only good for wiping down surfboards and my truck! We now only use the big blue ones at home (super quick drying) and at the pool. We take the orange and green ones camping and they are easy to shake off.

DO NOT LET KIDS TAKE TO CAMP OUTS!! OMG my son used this for his scouting camp out and at the campsite dry grass and dirt got on it and it's a BEAR to clean. The grass sticks onto it soo badly it's such a pain I almost just want to toss it rather than sit there for an hour taking every bit out that will not shake off or wash off. It's intwined into the fabric so you have to remove every tiny piece out individually. Recommend this for places where dirt and grass are not an issue. It's also very staticky and sticks to my hands after a long hike he said he wished he would of brought a regular towel. BUmmer too because I was so excited about how lightweight the towel was. Towel is light and can absorb and drys fairly well but DO NOT LET TEENS USE IT AT CAMP!! After cleaning it I will use it only at pool and gym never at a camp out again!!

MultiTowel is absorbent, works great for people how need to dry off after a shower without the huge bulk of a terrycloth cotton towel.
Completely dry in 5 hours hanging on my office coat rack indoors!

i purchased this towel for camping - hate having soggy damp towels that won't dry in the sun.on the trip the towel performed "fine" but there wasn't much difference between its performance and that of the household towels that my husband packed.the kicker was getting home and washing it out. pulled it out of the dryer to find it is covered in teeny lint specks. i tried to brush/lint roll but the specks stayed put. however, i reached for the linty towel when getting out of the shower, and the lint specks ended up all over my skin. ick.it was a good idea but i just don't see the point of this [$] towel. oh well!
