- Jet Stream open-cell polyurethane foam is compact when packed and provides plenty of comfort for a restful night's sleep

I see the 1 star review here so I wanted to note my experience. We have had two of these for over a year and we use them with cots. We found it is best to unroll, let it inflate then lay down on it and then get off and let it inflate some more. After sleeping on it the 1st night, open the valves in the morning and let it take more air in. So, 1st night is good and later nights are really nice and firm (the way we like it). We have found that the valves occasionally, although reasonably rare, seat improperly. I found that I can tell by how freely the valve is closing. If it seems a little harder to turn, I just back off on screwing it down and re-do it. We have had that happen a couple of times in the past year and air comes out when you lay on it. However, re-seating the valve does the trick each time (just screw off and back on). The main drawback for these pads is that are bulky when not in use. They will take up some room for storage and transport. Of course, I get a much better sleep on this and the cot than in my mummy bag with the minimalist padding below it. So, it all depends on what you want in the end!

I bought this for car camping with the expectation that it would be heavy, but very durable. I've used it 3 times. It's great upon initial inflation, but even with valve securely closed, I wake up with my hip on the ground. Maybe I just got a defective pad. In any case, I'm returning it.
