Comments about Alps Mountaineering Spring +45 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

2 weeks in the western Nevada desert and it kept me comfortably warm at night as expected. Comfortable without being sticky. A quick weekend trip to June Lake, CA left me cold in the high 40s at night so I wouldn't push this bag to it's predicted limits especially if you're a cold sleeper. The manufacturer does not guarantee a temperature rating and I would place it in the > 50F category. Two main cons: difficult to compress in the awkward stuff sack provided and the zipper snags so much more than I expected after reading the maker's "no snag" design claims. This is my luxury camping bag and I've been happy overall (and for [$]!).

A little bit bigger and bulkier than I had imagined. Kept me warm enough in 40F nights.

Comments about Alps Mountaineering Spring +45 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

I agree with the other reviews the zipper tests your patience as does trying to get bag back in compression sack. That being said it is a warm & comfortable bag & if you grab it on sale it is still a good value in my opinion.

Comments about Alps Mountaineering Spring +45 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

Good product for cool nights and very good value for what you're paying, especially considering it came with a compression sack. Four days hiking with nights in the low to mid 50s left me perfectly warm without being too hot. The zipper would occasionally snag, but was easily fixed.

The zipper is infuriating to use - definitely won't recommend it just b/c of that.
