Perfect Camping Plate

I've used my Delta plate camping three times now and I have absolutely no complaints. It's light enough, considering its size and stability; it holds messy camp food well, with its deep lip; it cleans up quickly; it clips on to my pack or the drying line easily. Now I'm trying to decide if I need the matching bowl or not (the deep lip makes the plate serviceable for stews and such already). I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid camping/backpacking/picnicking plate.

great plate, bad packaging choices

Plates are a great size and depth. Feel really solid, easy to pack. Will last for years. Appreciate they are BPA free! But….why go to all that trouble and then affix the product label to the food side of the plate with industrial airplane glue? Seriously, been working on them for a bit now, and glue remnants remain. So that will be a nice spot that always looks dirty and will collect gunk.

Great design for these plates.

I bought four of the plates for our family. My two nieces joined us on our camping trip this year. They are not "outdoor lovers" as we are and didn't have any gear of their own. I used some of our old camp plates for them. It quickly became obvious that these plates were more desired. The plate bottom did not get hot like our old plates did when sitting on your lap. Also, the nice high sides were useful when we had stew one night. My son even made his oatmeal in his plate. They cleaned up easily even after some greasy meals.

Buying Another

I bought this plate a month ago. I camp with a group of 20ish ladies and we were always using paper goods. In an effort to reduce our footprint, we all now bring our own eating utensils. I really like this plate. It’s easy to wash, doesn’t hold onto oils, easy to carry and food doesn’t slide around. Some reviews didn’t like it doesn’t nest, but I only have one and the way I pack it, nesting isn’t an issue. I bought the GSI SS plate as well to compare. I didn’t care for it. This was my pick. I am buying one for the office. This plate is a perfect replacement for paper goods. Not for use backpacking though. Good uses; car camping, glamping, office, and home.

7 years and still going strong

I love these plates and bowls. They have a waffle pattern under the plate that prevents heat transfer from the plate so the plate doesn’t get hot to the touch like enamel or steel. This makes them great for kids and resting the plate on your lap, if you need to. Also there Isabella’s little bit of plastic that sticks out for you to rest your thumb so you can hold the plate easily with one hand. Also super handy. These plates have held up over time. I’ve had them for at least 7 years, maybe longer. I would buy them again. They have matching bowls that are equally fantastic.

Great For Boating

I purchased this product because my husband and I cruise on a small sailboat. We needed dishes that we could use while underway that are easy to hold and don't transmit a lot of heat. These fit the bill. The only drawback is that they don't nest completely. However, they are still easy to store in our limited space. So far I've been very pleased. I'm back on the site to buy the bowls.

A little bulky/heavy but worth it

These are a tad bulky and a little heavy for long multi-day hiking. They do not nest well, but for day hikes, boating, car/trailer camping or picnicking they are awesome. Easy to clean, durable, spacious and great shape for preventing spills. I think they are great.

Great, but be aware of grease.

We bought these because holding metal plates is HOT HOT HOT. The thumb tab is great, and they are totally bomb proof. The only downside, is that because they are plastic, some salmon that we had cooked in foil was hard to clean off, i.e. the fish-y oil residue was hard to remove, as it often is from plastics.

Great plates

These plates are a good size. They’re sturdy with a reinforced bottom which keeps it from getting hot. They also have an edge around them to easily eat chili, but maybe not good for soup. I love the handle on the side, but I think it’s actually used to hang them up. Would definitely recommend.
