Featuring a slender profile and adjustable suspension, this full-featured Alps Mountaineering Orizaba pack is a comfortable choice for your multiday outings.

  • Pack body is constructed of rugged ripstop nylon for durability and light weight on the trail
  • Along with the high-density polyethylene framesheet, an aluminum rod is shaped to transfer weight loads to the hipbelt
  • Adjustable suspension system provides a personalized fit; padded waistbelt, back panel and shoulder straps up the comfort level on long carries
  • Air channel mesh pad back panel keeps your back well ventilated as the temperature rises
  • Top-loading design has an extendable collar and top lid to accommodate bulky loads; compression strap over the top keeps things contained
  • Sleeping bag compartment with front zippered access allows access to your sleeping bag without having to dig through all the other contents of your pack
  • Internal pocket holds hydration reservoir (sold separately) for hands-free drinking on the trail

    I was a little apprehensive at first because of the price, however I do own other Alps Mountaineering products. The overall quality of the pack exceeded my expectations
    and the performance was equally satisfying. I used the pack on a number of overnight trips, and I can honestly say the loading was very EZ. The separate sleeping compartment was great and there is ample other storage/Pockets.
    Highly recommend.

      I really debated not getting this pack because nobody else had reviewed it, but the price was right, and I took the gamble. We just used it for the first time this weekend and it was great, so I thought I should pass that on. We bought this pack for my wife, who carries a lighter load than I do. It's larger than her previous pack, but weighs the same (under 4 lbs). It loads very nicely, and is nicely adjustable, especially for short torsos (her other pack was small, but couldn't adjust to her torso size). It provided a stable ride, good pockets, nice front or top access points, and all around, well worth the price. I'm surprised that others haven't rated this pack yet! We used it on a 3 day/2 night trip into the Olympics. I carried most of the community gear, but she had room to spare, so it would work fine even if the load were shared differently.
