My fiance and I registered for this without seeing it first and when it was given to us, we were thrilled. Not only is it durable and wide enough to hold me (250 lbs), it allows for all the closeness that newlyweds need without having a chair arm between us. Obviously it is too large to backpack with, but it compacts very quickly and easily. I wouldn't haul the chair up a hill, but it is still light enough to carry to a spot a short distance away. Overall, I had no idea it would be done this well. Way to go REI!

I wanted to purchase this chair from the moment I saw it and I couldn't be happier about our purchase! It folds up very nicely and fits easily into the bag. The adjustable cup holders are a wonderful addition. The chair is very roomy and comfortably fits my 5'0" frame and my husbands 6'1" frame! This chair feels very sturdy and well made. The material feels nice and like it will hold up well. All of our friends love this chair and want one as well. It is so nice to be able to sit together and sometimes our kids even want to sit with us! We haven't used it for sporting events yet but plan on taking it to our kids games! We camp many times a year both at regular campsites and those with sand and this chair has worked out great! It can be a bit on the heavy side but no more than you'd expect for a chair that is supposed to fit two people. I don't think anyone will be disapointed in buying this couch, unless you don't want to sit close to someone!

Used it the first time over this past weekend. My girlfriend and I were very happy with comfort and the construction of the couch. We had checked other websites and stores searching for a double wide chair but not much out there. We were a bit hesitant about buying it without being able to see it first since she had bought a similar product that fell apart after a few uses. But as I said we are very happy with it and hope to get many years of use out of it.

We bought this many years ago for a trip to Acadia. I think it has been over 10 years. We use it all of the time. It is still in perfect condition. Very well made.

When we take it car camping, it is the first seat to be taken. I am 6' tall and have laid down on it and taken a nap.

Great for car camping. Chair leg tubes collect sand so turn it over & empty sand out before packing it in your car. Otherwise, great comfort and its strong.

I don't think I can add any other comments that others have said. It is nice for snuggling up next to my honey. When she was little, my daughter would take naps on the sofa. This is a winning piece of car camping furniture!

I can't believe my friend spent so much on this thing. She used it once and then her boyfriend dumped her so I got to use it with my other friend. lol. It's very comfortable. Big, too. Large enough so you can use it with a platonic friend without feeling awkward. You can even lounge on it by yourself like a real couch. Definitely luxurious.
