After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Cannondale Capo Bike - 2009:

For the money, this is a serious bargain. The frame and fork are worth the price of admission by themselves. This is a good thing, because the components are rather low end. You'll have to swap out the freehub immediately (go with a White Industries). I also changed out the saddle and seatpost and will soon buy a new crank and bottom bracket. I also put Shimano XT MB pedals on. The frame and fork are actually made in the USA, although Cannondale is shifting production to Taiwan for 2010 of all its bikes. So buy this American-made road rocket now because it is your last chance.
