This is a good bike for commuting (albeit very heavy), and it pains me to give it only 2 stars because I have really enjoyed riding it on my 4-mile ride. However, in the past few months, I have had a significant number of flats, which has soured me on my experience with this bike. I have spent countless hours and dollars changing tubes and even just plunked down a lot of money for some new tires, thinking my gritty commute was the problem. Unfortunately, I have now discovered that the problem is not my commute but instead the poor rim tape used on the bike itself, which has worn through and in turn caused tube after tube on both the front and back wheels to puncture. I would recommend this bike but only if you replace the rim tape before riding it as you will get flats.
