I'm so glad that I finally found a hat that is acceptably female and actually fits my head! Evidently I have a large head and then the addition of a fair amount of hair doesn't help. This hat probably would be a bit large if you have a smaller head - I cannot fit in most 'female' hats but I could do the medium or large. I choose the large as I often wear my hair in a french braid and that makes the diameter of my head a bit larger.
But this is a fantastic hat. It really shields the eyes and a lot of the time I don't even have to wear sunglasses because of this hat! (Which is good as my previously mentioned large head means that most sunglasses pinch my head)

I use this product for hiking, walking fundraisers, fishing, running, casual wear, doing errands, anytime I need the sun out of my face. It's a great all around cap that's different from most others. Stylish also. I've received many compliments on it.
I enjoy the dark rim to help with the sunlight. I also like the split bill which makes it very easy to pack or stow away. I have not used the pocket features and don't think I will because I usually have a purse, pocket, or backpack with me. I like the adjustable draw cord in the back and the mesh vents keep me cool.
As others have mentioned, I wish this came in a small. I wear medium and cinch up the cord, but it doesn't look as sleek as it could if I were wearing a size small.

I've worn this hat on 3 continents and I absolutely love it. It packs extremely well because of the split bill. I can collapse it down and even fit it in the side pocket of cargo pants when I'm indoors. I like it so much, I just bought second one since it went on clearance.

Got this for a trip to Europe - wanted a more stylish alternative to my Tilley Airflow that I could wear while walking around Italy. But, this is WAY too big. I have an average head, but not a small one. The bungee cord is a nice feature, but to get it to fit right, I have to tighten it to the point where it bunches and looks weird. Additionally, it's supposed to be a cute cap - but it comes down over my ears (or perches above them looking odd).
Love the concept, but they should really make this in a Small. Very disappointed. Sending it back.

Very lightweight, love the cinch cord to tighten/loosen as needed. Wicks away sweat with ease! I like that it is not 'deep'- meaning the cap isn't so large that it wants to cover my ears- often I find these cadet hats are too big and ride too high on my head. LOVE IT!!!!

I bought this cap a couple of years ago for my husband, who should wear a cap and rarely does. I should say rarely did, as he fell in love with this cap and wore it without any nagging.
Unfortunately, he left it on the plane this week when we returned from vacation. I'm thrilled to see I can replace his favorite cap of all time, and he'll be very pleased when I surprise him with it!

I gave this hat 4 stars because it's super cute and I think will provide great protection from the sun but I'm disappointed it doesn't come in size small. I ordered the medium and it's too big. It works with the bungee cord but it takes away from the look of it to have it cinched so tightly. I'm 5'3", 110 lbs so I may have a little bit smaller than average head. Other than the size issue, it's a great hat.

Living in Florida this hat is fantastic! I did purchase one in Denver and accidentally picked up a Large. REI returns simply exchanged it for a Medium, no problem. The hat has a drawstring banded cord to make adjustments when it's windy or you need to cinch it down. The interior pocket is great for IDs and cash so you can have your hands free and not worry about somewhere to stow your essentials! The color is great, it packs well, and looks more trendy than the picture displays it! Thanks REI!

I am super stoked with this hat. I use as a hiking and travel hat as well as a hanging around doin nothing hat. I really like that this is a techinal hat but does not look out of place around town.
Features I like are the vents becuase it keeps my melon cool and the folding brim because I can actully comfortably fit it in a back pocket when I am not wearing it.
Several of my friends bought em for themselves too once they saw me wearing mine.
I can not imagine storing anything in the crown pocket but hey, it does not subract from anything and pockets are generally pretty cool.
