I bought the size recommended for my shoe size M 7-9. I found they slipped down right away. it is very annoying.

They are great while in place and look very good. But do buy them in a smaller size if you are not on the large end of the scale for that size.

I bought these to wear with my Merrell Mary Jane sneakers. They are very comfortable and cushy; much better than the ultra thin nylon peds which tend to slip off of my heel. These don't. They stay in place all day.

I really liked these socks because of their thickness (more like a normal sock vs. panty hose like a lot of other socks of this style). However, the seams at the heel form "corners" on either side of the heel. They weren't uncomfortable, but they looked funny on my feet. Also, the elastic in the heel has completely worn out after about a half a dozen wears, so they slip off and I am constantly re-adjusting throughout the day. I would consider trying another pair, but was overall pretty disappointed.

Best "half sock" I've found. Excellent little sock. Mine have worn very well, only problem - first pair a little big so I just wear those around the house like a slipper. Medium worked better with shoes. Enjoy!

Looks like from previous reviews that women either loved these or hated them! Well, I am online to buy more, so it's obvious that I'm in the "LOVE THEM" camp. I've tried other nylon-type socks like these that were poorly fitted, never stayed in place, and weren't wicking. These are the perfect thickness so that they provide cushioning but are thin enough. They wick, they breathe, they keep my shoes from getting smelly!! I have found that they have held up extremely well after multiple wearings and washings, just like all my Smartwool sox. So I would definitely recommend trying these!

I have slipper-type shoes, and thought this would be wonderful to keep my feet warmer when wearing these types of shoes. I bought this pair from REI as they were on sale, and I love the Smart Wool brand.

I bought size for 5-9.5, and the fit is VERY BIG. The sock falls down my ankle into my shoe when I walk. I walk around a lot-so this is not a productive product for me. If I went down a size, it would be awesome.

I will keep for around the house.

Great little socks to go with Mary Jane type shoes! Not had problems yet with elastic though if I wear them all day, the sock will eventually slide off my heel in my shoe. Not a big deal to me since I generally don't wear them for long periods of time.

I purchased two pairs (one black and one beige) to wear with my new Maryjane-type shoes. I did have a problem with the black pair when I wore them with my Keens, which have a stiff sole and don't easily bend as I walk. I used some hosiery adhesive on my heel, and then they worked fine. I had no problem with the beige pair with my Propet shoes, which have a more flexible sole. Both pair worked fine after that small revision. I'm back to buy more!
