Comments about MSR Carbon Reflex 2 Tent:
MSR hit the mark with this tent. mine weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces with the bag and a few extra groundhog stakes. it hardly feels like you're carrying a tent at all. about the size of a small sleeping pad when it's in the bag.
two six foot males fit far more comfortably than i had expected when i first set up the tent in my backyard.
absolutely no condensation whatsoever - the ventilation on this tent is amazing.
enough pockets for the essentials.
for as light as the poles are, they feel very sturdy.
it would be great if this tent had 2 doors - i think it would be worth the few extra oz. for the additional zippers.
also, this tent comes with MSR needle stakes - which are junk. a tent this expensive needs to come with quality stakes - and maybe the footprint?
obviously, this tent is excessively expensive. but if you're going to use it on a regular basis, it's worth every penny.

Comments about MSR Carbon Reflex 2 Tent:
This tent is a great all around ultralight. The floor space is a little cramped for two, but the ample head room makes up for it. This tent is as light as most solo tents, and for one it is a palace. Like other reviewers I have rairly notice any condensation. With only one door it can make those middle of the night nature calls fun, but you have to give up something for the weight savings. I also like the fact that there is a zippered access to the rear vestibule. It can be used for storage, or for the guys, it can be used to relieve yourself in bad weather.
What really sets this tent appart from the competition, and ultimately makes it worth the money, is the construction and materials used in this tent. I have to say that this tent has the highest level of craftsmanship I have ever seen. The attention to detail like reinforced guy out points and watertight zippers are great. With high end materials like carbon fiber poles, 10,000mm waterproof coatings on the bathtub floor (most tents have around 1,500mm), and a dual coated fly means this tent will last a very long time. Unlike the other reviewers I like the stakes. They have more surface area than a round steak, and as long as you aren't pitching it in sand or snow I find they are just fine.
This is a great three season tent, but it can be used in winter in mild climates. I live in Tennessee, and have used this tent during the worst conditions we get around here. Over New Years weekend my wife and I did a three day backpack in the Smoky Mountains. Our last night we camped on the summit of 5,842 foot Mount Sterling. The temperature dropped to zero, the wind was blowing with gusts as high as 25mph, and there was 1-2 feet of snow on the ground. While there are better tents for these conditions, this tent will do the job. It won't be as warm as a four season tent, but it can handle the wind and mild snow loads.

Comments about MSR Carbon Reflex 2 Tent:
A tad apprehensive of the price initially but well worth the money. Extremely light weight especially for it's size, superb ventilation, setup is a breeze. For the price would have liked a footprint included and better stakes. Love the fact I can actually pack it IN my backpack along with my other base essentials. I'm a hybrid: minimalist that likes a few comforts and this tent fits the bill on both counts.

Comments about MSR Carbon Reflex 2 Tent:
This is a great ultralight tent that is a cinch to set up. Has excellent ventilation and is well constructed. When packed, takes up minimal space. Set it up near Crater Lake, and it served as our shelter very nicely.
