Comments about JanSport Odyssey Pack:
Bought this because my previous EMS day pack reached 14 years and it was time for retirement. I ride a motorcycle as well as go to school and the gym. Needed something with multiple pockets with enough storage for everything and still stay comfortable. This fits all requirements. It also has a waist strap that tucks away, which is a bonus because unless I'm actually hiking there’s no need for it. Hydration pocket as well and it has some nice ventilation built in. I'd definitely recommend it for a multi-purpose day pack. Probably heavier than some of the specific packs out there, however I need something to carry school books and other assortment of gear including my laptop.

Comments about JanSport Odyssey Pack:
I just bought this pack today, and Wow, Jansport has come a long way since the days of High School Book duty. I got this after the Solaris 40 that I ordered showed up GRAY and ORANGE not BLACK as I had specifically chosen, call me Johnny Cash. Going camping twice in the next month and it looks and feels more than up to the task, Vented Straps are Uber cool looking, comfortable, add to that the durability of Ballistic Nylon, and Jansport's reputation for quality, well worth the [$] after tax I paid, BOOYA! If you value Style and looks as much as functionality, this is the ticket Brah.

Comments about JanSport Odyssey Pack:
I bought this pack about a month ago. It's holding up great. There's alot to like about this pack. I was undecided whether to purchase this Odyssey or the North Face Recon but I am glad I made this choice. The Odyssey is roomy. There are 2 main compartments that are great for sweatshirts or bulky items. There is a nice compartment for your hydration system. I purchased a Camelbak 3.0 liter Unbottle and it fitts snugly inside. The waist straps are nice if you are carrying a large load. They take the weight off of your shoulders nicely. If you do not like them hanging, there are 2 sleeves that you can tuck the waist strap through and they become hidden; like a regular backpack. The 2 waterbottle holders are nice but I'm fine with my camelbak and 1 extra bottle. The option is there so that's a plus. If you are carrying a light load, there are 2 straps on each side that you can tighten to pull the pack closer to your back "shrinking" the pack in thickness. The shoulder straps are vented as well as the back. Although I did get sweaty a few time, I found they were adequate. The styling is nice too. Looks like an ordinary pack but it has tons of room and lots of nice features. The little things will make you say "Wow, this is a nice pack". The company also gives a lifetime warranty on their products so that says something about the brand.

Comments about JanSport Odyssey Pack:
I received this pack recently and was impressed. The shoulder straps breath well, due to the JanSport ventilation system; and the back panel does a great job of supporting while also remaining comfortable and ventilated. As for the actual bag itself, the compartments are more than enough for any student and/or light backpacker. There are four compartments total(not including the vertically zippered front pocket and the hydration slot in the far back). The first things to go in backpacks usually are the straps and the zippers, all of which appear and preform sturdy. One good feature is the hydration compatibility located against the back panel. Overall a sturdy pack yet generally geared towards school.

Comments about JanSport Odyssey Pack:
I use this backpack every day to haul my computer and all my snacks to work. I also use it daily for my college classes. It's great for hauling lots of stuff and making it feel like it isn't even there. I also love the fact that it has a hydration pack, which helpes me stay hydrated.
The only thing that I don't like is that it's soo roomy that I lose track of what is in the pack and what isn't. It needs an inventory list.

Comments about JanSport Odyssey Pack:
Used this first as a daypack. Turned it into a school pack/laptop pack. Used it as a travel pack when I went to the Philippines. Performed flawessly in each case. One of the first packs to fit my small frame (even the sternum strap is in the right location). Looks great carrying a small load and large loads. Stuffed my sleeping bag into it and swallowed it up. This pack is highly versatile. Skip those cheap bags [...] The money spent on this pack is well worth it.
