Comments about Teva Sunkosi 2 Water Shoes - Men's:
This is a really nice warm-weather all purpose trail shoe. I just used them in Panama and had great hikes through creeks and rainforest, as well as beach and city. Very comfortable. Works equally well in wet or dry conditions; great traction in slippery areas. It performs well transitioning from river bed to most trails. Also passes for city shoes when it comes time to head off the trail.
Only flaw was that they were slightly abrasive to bare feet- I got a few blisters early on. And they're obviously not the greatest for heavier backpacking.

Just used these on a week long canoe/hiking trip to the Buffalo River.
The Tevas provided great comfort and no blisters on the trails and dried rather quickly when wet.

Comments about Teva Sunkosi 2 Water Shoes - Men's:
Within just over one month these shoes went from being my favorite all-around shoes (possibly ever), to being an enormous frustration & disappointment. What were great, outdoor explorational and urban styling shoes suddenly became tripping hazards. Giving them back was equally as frustrating, as I had hoped I could exchange them for the next season's model when they were out of my sale item, but could not.
The clerk who accepted my return noted that a lot of Teva Sunkosi's and others have been returned for sole seperation due to defective/inferior glue. It broke my heart to give these back, especially after just over a month of light-to-moderate use. I wore several other shoes in the 1+ month that I had these. I was able to take these hiking and swimming in southern Oregon a couple of times before they started to seperate. A couple more days of trail hiking in Glacier & Yellowstone and these were tripping hazards.
I absolutely loved how these shoes felt, slipped on & off, dried, handled in water & on trails, and just generally looked. The traction on the soles is appropriate for a myriad of terrain--especially rugged. If you wear these without socks (which I recommend if you are getting them wet, unless you don't mind wet socks), then these are going to begin to smell funky. This can be partially mitigated by wearing socks 1/2 the time. The insoles have a tendancy to fall out during removal; maybe this is a good quality for water shoes, I didn't like it so much.
I read about other REI members getting current-year, state-of-the-art replacements when they return. These shoes were defective, and a full refund would have been given at any store. I have been to Used Gear Sales & people return things after they have been worn faded and holey for years. When I returned mine, just over one month later, they were out of my size. I would have really loved to have replaced these with the next season, without having to pay double the price. I did not feel like a truly valued member after returning these.

Comments about Teva Sunkosi 2 Water Shoes - Men's:
I've had these shoes for a few months now, and I love them. I've used them in a river, walking around town, and day hiking through the desert and mountains of Big Bend NP. They have great traction, dry quickly, and handle rugged terrain well.
Initially, after prolonged use the tops of my feet did get rubbed a bit raw, but that has not been a problem now that they're broken in. I've also worn them with hiking socks, and they are incredibly comfortable that way too. I even carried them on a backpacking trip as my camp shoes, and after a day of sweaty hiking with a big pack, I appreciated having something tough enough for day hikes that still provided excellent ventilation for my hot feet.
Great shoes!
