With tons of retro style, internal gearing and forward-thinking geometry, the Electra Deluxe 3i step-through women's cruiser bike boasts all the trimmings for your riding enjoyment.

Traditional steel frame is rugged and forgiving on bumps; sports a crown fork and retro spring saddle for comfort
Step-through frame makes mounting and dismounting the saddle quick and easy
Geometry places pedals ahead of the seatpost, which creates a low center of gravity and positions rider in an upright, balanced position
The result of this geometry is a comfortable riding position, full leg extension for maximum power, and, typically, an ability to reach the ground with both feet
Shimano Nexus 3-speed shifting system is maintenance-free and simple to use with a quick twist of the wrist
Integrated coaster brake is both effective and intuitively simple to use—just pedal in reverse, like you did as a child on your first bike
Platform pedals accept just about any pair of shoes or flip-flops; full-length chainguard keeps pant legs free of oil and entanglement

Fitting an Electra bike is easy. Start by setting the saddle to its lowest position and then stand over it with both feet flat on the ground. Next, simply raise the saddle until it rests in the crotch. Tighten it in place, and that's it— you're done! After an initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. THis bike rides beautifully and gets lots of attention from both men and women. Everyone loves this Retro-Looking Ride.
The 3 Shimano gears are just enough to get up the hills at a leisurely pace. I take it on rides with friends and, even though my bike is heavier and flashier than their Mountain bikes or Comfort bikes, I'm the one who's the least bit tired and loving how it rides. What's great about Electra Bikes is that they are solid, and their accessories fit on all their bikes. For example:
I bought an Electra Bike bell that looks and fits like it came with the bike. I also Swapped the black grips with White Leather Electra ergonomics grips for their Townie bike. The grips look and feel awesome and they fit perfectly. I also recently bought an Electra White mesh basket for my cruiser which now makes my cruiser totally tricked out and extremely functional. I did buy two chrome classic mirrors that were't not electra brand but they fit on my bike like they were designed for this beautiful cruiser. THE BEST thing about this bike are the cruiser brakes!!! Who would have thought that I could have a multiple gear bike with cruiser brakes? They are incredibly easy to use and make my bikes' profile look streamline.
