Comments about Scott CR1 Pro Compact Bike - 2009:

I had been looking at this bike at my LBS and then stumbled upon on the REI site. I caught the [$]sale and got the bike for a steal. I felt bad not buying from my LBS but they could not touch that price.Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of the bike. It is light, fast, responsive and will really dive into the corners. I am 6'1", 180lbs and the 56cm fits me perfectly. All it required was a slight seat height adjustment before hopping on for a long ride. The compact crankset took a bit of getting used to. My "go to" gears from my old bike are not the same but after a few good rides I dont even notice the difference. I dont race (yet) but I do a lot of hard training rides for mtn bike racing as well as adventure racing. This bike is perfect for that application- it allows me to go get in long training sessions and if I want to jump into road racing- could do so with minimal upgrades.

Service and delivery comments:

The delivery and service was awesome. After I ordered the bike it arrived, was assembled and test ridden within 7 days. Picking it up took no time at all and they gave me all the manuals along with a coupon for 1 free service.
