The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ultralight Ditty Sacks - Package of 3:
First of all, these bags are extremely lightweight and durable. I love the three different sizes which makes it easy to organize odds and ends in your pack, while at the same time they are big enough to hold a rain jacket or something like that. But they are not only for backpacking. They are great for travel as well. Extremely well-made.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ultralight Ditty Sacks - Package of 3:
Initially thought these seemed expensive but design and color were appealing, plus I've always found Outdoor Research products worth every penny. Eventually gave in, bought them & have never regretted the purchase. I use these bags every day as well as outdoor/camping/travel. Just the thing to keep smaller items separated in a bigger bag. No wear yet after 3? years.

These ditty sacks have been with me through multi-day backpacking trips, car camping, and daily use! They have stood the test of time. No tears, drawstrings have no fabric pulls, and the locking mechanisms have stood up well. Friends constantly try to bum them from me. I'm buying a second set.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ultralight Ditty Sacks - Package of 3:
I bought one set originally to sort things easily in my backpack while backpacking overseas. These bags worked perfectly. I loved them so much I bought a second set. I take them with me whenever I travel or go hiking. They weigh practically nothing and are super durable. I have used these bags for backpacking, cycle touring, etc. They have been used on a daily basis for about 8 months and I have owned them for about 3 years. All of them are completely intact. The opening/closing setup on these bags is well thought out. The clasp is right on the side of the bag. The cord does not get tangled. These bags are my trick to packing everything up quickly and being super-organized while traveling. I only wish they came in more colors.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ultralight Ditty Sacks - Package of 3:
I ordered both this set and the mesh set to compare. I decide to keep this set and return the mesh. There's nothing wrong the the mesh bags. They are well made and gorgerous. However, they are weightier than this set. Also, if you are worried about liquid, cream, or lotion leaking, the mesh won't stop it from leaking into the bigger environment.
The material feels like the fabric used for ultra light tents. The smallest is dove grey color, the medium dark blue, and the large in safety orange. I turn them inside out to check the seams. They look pretty solid and hopefully won't come apart after some useage.
These babies are very light weight, feel like compression bags (they are not). The sizes are pretty useful for packing clothing items and food items. I wish that OR will make even smaller versions for very small objects like iPod, hair claw, lip balm, etc..
I have REI bags and Granite Gear compression bags similar to the large in this set and larger. I always find ways to stuff things inside for camping, backpacking, and traveling (jacket, shoes, electronics, travel essentials, etc.). I am sure I'll 100+ ways to use this set.

Comments about Outdoor Research Ultralight Ditty Sacks - Package of 3:
Great bags for keeping things organized! Lightweight, quality drawstrings and stitching. They are a little thin so be carefully when packing these with sharp items. I have to make sure my heat shield for my stove is folding up right to avoid an edge from popping through. Other than that these things are worth it!
