The rugged Metolius Dirt Bag™ rope bag protects your rope when you're climbing and keeps it neatly stowed when you're not.

  • Features a 3 ft. x 3 ft. ground sheet with an easy-load pocket that controls the rope while packing it up; pocket is sized to hold up to a 70m rope
  • To stow your rope, simply flake it onto the tarp, stuff it into the easy-load pocket, fold the sides of the tarp in, roll it up and stuff it into the bag
  • Durable plastic window lets you see into the bag and identify which rope is stowed
  • Exterior of the bag is constructed of burly ballistic nylon to resist abrasion
  • Full-length beefy zipper and cinch-shut top provide quick access to your rope
  • Adjustable shoulder strap is lightly padded for carrying comfort; molded grab handle allows the bag to be carried as a duffle

        The snap and zipper did not keep this bag closed (while using the shoulder strap). I had to tie the draw-string through the zipper loop and handle. I will return this bag.

          I have a little over 10 lbs of rope. I just bought this bag and every time I drop the rope in and try to carry it with the shoulder strap, the button pops off and the zipper starts to unzip. This might not be a problem with lighter weight ropes/ shorter. But so far, the bag is more of a hassle that a benefit whenever I want to carry it.

              It's a good all around bag, its durable and if you need to you can get a lot of rope into it, i have never had any problem w/ capacity but the drawstring toggle has come apart...i say this after 3 1/2 years of heavy use and that's my only complaint. It's a quality product.

                Works great to protect your rope, especially for the cost (many other rope bags are [$]more). It'll help keep sand and grit out of your rope, and make those ropes last longer. The fold-out tarp is particularly nice at the base of climbs.

                I use this bag with both my ropes and am about to purchase another for a third rope. I use this bag to keep my gear organized and clean and to cary ropes to and from climbs when taking groups of 15 climbing, or when I am just out with friends. This is a great bag for keeping ropes clean and neat and for carrying the rope to and from climbs.
