With a high-altitude heritage, the Asolo Makalu GV mountaineering boots deliver solid all-around performance on alpine ascents and are stiff enough for use with step-in crampons.

  • Perwanger roughout leather uppers are highly water resistant, breathable and extremely abrasion resistant
  • Breathable Gore-Tex® liners allow vapor transmission out of boots yet stop water from reaching feet; nylon inner linings wick moisture away from feet
  • Tall padded collars and tongues ensure comfort while heel and tongue loops aid entry/exit
  • Dual-density microporous rubber midsoles and thermoplastic urethane (TPU) plates provide cushioning and support for comfort and performance on long hauls
  • Rubber rands protect uppers and feet from abrasion and bumps, and also enhance edging ability
  • Triple-density TPU frames at heels facilitate compatibility with step-in crampons while also delivering impact absorption
  • Durable Vibram® Everest dual-density rubber outsoles feature self-cleaning lugs and Asobrake design for superior grip when descending
