Comments about Cannondale Synapse Carbon 6 Compact Bike - 2009:

This is a solid road bike. I am fairly new to the road bike. I have been used to Hybrids, Mountain bikes and Cruisers of many stripes and colors. So, this has been an experience for me. I got the road shoes and Shimano cleats after realizing my old Giro bike shoes with indented sole were not going to get the job done very well. With the correct shoes, correct seat hight and riding bib...I was all set. This bike can really fly. Very lightweight and the cassettes seem right for me so far. I'm still learning the shifting approach for this type of bike. But, it seems quite responsive and is easy to shift. The seat is a bit uncomfortable but I assume that goes with the territory. I have purchased a riding bib with padding in the seat. That should help. The bike has a pretty paint job that will attract attention. And the attention is well deserved for more than just it's good looks.
