Comments about Cannondale F7 Feminine Women's Bike - 2009:
I love this bike. I hadn't biked in 20+ years. I keep my carbon footprint low, which is why I don't own a car these days. Public transit and walking was working for me but having a bike opens up possibilities for me. . . I am increasingly more and more active because here in the San Francisco Bay Area where I am blessed to live, I can put my bike on all the public trains, hop off the train and zip to my destination with my bike. Having the bike has transformed my whole life.
Plus this bike is way sweeet!! The disc brakes are awesome. The shock absorbers, um, ABSORB! The gears are well-engineered. It gobsmacks me how the right gears can lift the burden of inclines off of me. . . how does that work?! Way cool, if you ask me.
I knew I didn't want to get a cheap-o department store bike. . . and I knew I was not likely to become an avid, competitive cyclist. My bike is local transit for me. I decided $600 was my maximum. . . spending this much would give me a bike that will last, meet my needs. . . but not cost a small fortune. I figured that if the unforeseen happens and I really get into cycling, I can upgrade to fancier bikes.
I feel like I found the perfect medium range bike.
Plus it's adorable.
Oh, I got an upgraded seat.
There are more expensive bikes . . . and cheap-o bikes. I really hate cheap bikes. They don't ride anywhere near as smoothly . . it is definitely worth two or three hundred bucks to get a decent bike. . .unless you are buying for a growing kid. Get the cheap-o for the kiddies, maybe. . . I always got my kid cheap bikes when she was growing but now I wonder if maybe she'd have gotten more into biking if I had popped for a decent bike?!!
You get what you pay for. With the Cannondale F7, you get a great bike for the money. . . . Plus you can upgrade like crazy if you become a biking fanatic, right?

This is my favorite bike I have ever owned, it rides like a dream!! I use it for trail riding as well as getting around the city. I'm luck to live in one of the most bike friendly cities in the world Portland, OR. I take my bike everywhere.
