Comments about 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles - Chicago:

I purchased the earlier version of the book back in '06, and it has served me well on over twenty hikes so far. There are a wide variety of trails--with many types of terrain--detailed.
The trails are listed alphabetically, are all shown on a map of NE IL (inside cover), and have great individual maps. The at-a-glance info contains length, configuration, difficulty, and many more hike details. Driving directions and nearby activities are also included.
This book has become an indispensable part of my hiking!
