I am 5'3", 130 lbs and 34D bust. This dress fit me great except the straps were way too long so the front sagged. Fortunately the way the dress is constructed allows the person handy with thread and needle to simply remove the straps in the back and shorten them up. I had to shorten them about 3 inches and now the dress fits well. I wish Patagonia would make a petite line! Reviewers, please put in your stats (height, etc.) since these are critical in buying on-line.

This is a good dress for petite women -- I'm 5'1" and it is knee-length on me. I was a bit concerned when I ordered it that I might have to return it because filling out the bodice is usually an issue for me, but this actually fits well on small-chested women. This is good for work but it's also really convenient for wearing over gym clothes. I'm very happy with this purchase, and hope that there will be more color options in the future for this exact same style.

This is a great dress! A little shorter than I would normally buy but not too short (hits about 2" above my knees). I really like the material. Often Patagonia's skirts and dresses are made out of a spandex-like material but this dress is more cotton-like, but with a comfortable stretch.
I am 5'6" and 130lbs with a 34A bust... so I normally wear a small or medium depending on the item. I decided to go with the medium because I don't like super tight clothes (still form fitting, though) and Patagonia's clothes seem to be getting tighter more recently. Under the arms is a little loose but not too much so. The bust fits great, its not too revealing, which actually surprised me because it looks pretty low cut and I have a small chest. The dress hides a bra well.
I wish the color selection was a bit better (more spring or summer colors) but I went ahead and bought the orangey color. It is almost a burnt orange and looks great with the brown design.
Overall, I am really glad I bought this dress! It looks great!

I ordered this dress fully expecting it to be snug in the abdomen. I'm a mom and haven't seen a flat belly in years! But this dress is styled so great! The cumberbund kind of band just nips the waist right in! I also didn't think I'd be able to wear a bra with it either, but I can. But if you don't want to, that band adds support. It's still cold here but I can't wait to wear it. It is a very flattering fitting dress!

This is a very comfortable cotton-blend dress that is soft, wrinkle resistant and very figure flattering. Be forewarned, though - it is VERY low-cut. I'm 5'3, 125 lbs, 34C, and I got a small. The V-neck seriously comes down almost to the wire in my bra. It's very flattering, and I don't feel like I'm in any danger of falling out or flashing anyone, but I'm a little uncomfortable showing that much skin, so I'm going to have the straps taken up a little in the back for extra support and then I'll probably wear a cami underneath. Other than my own self-consciousness, it's perfect. The length is ideal; it falls right to my knees, which is exactly how I like it. I'll definitely be throwing it into my backpack on my next adventure!

I assumed this dress would be fabulous based on all the great reviews but it was not a perfect fit. Most of the dress fit great, except the sides of the dress, right under the underarm. It was too loose and the seams were baggy and stuck out. I got a medium, my usual size, since I'm 5'8", 125lbs, 36B bust. So I couldn't have gone smaller because it would have been too tight everywhere else. It just is one of those items that isn't made with the correct proportions I guess.
Service and delivery comments:
Beware of returns with REI, I wanted to exchange for another item but they don't give you complimentary shipping for your exchange. So, I would have had to pay for shipping twice, in addition to my return shipping. No other catalog company makes you pay for an exchange. I will not be buying clothes online from REI again because of this.

I bought this dress in the orange color. I am 5'8", 135lb and went with the small after much deliberation between the small and medium. The small fits perfectly and the problem with a perfect fit is there is little forgiveness for a full stomach after a great meal. So although I would have preferred the small amount of extra room of the medium I went with the small because the medium bagged under the arms and at the sides by my chest. This would drive me crazy! Speaking of chest, it is low cut but not inappropriately revealing, you can wear a bra if you feel more comfortable. I love this dress! It falls right above the knee, the fabric is soft, and the color and print are stunning!!! Patagonia once again is a reliable for stylish, functional dresses at a great price point!

I love this dress! I got the blue color and it was my "go-to" dress all summer. I'm 5'8" and a size 14 w/ a DDD chest. Wearing a regular bra was important consideration in my purchase. Although I can and do wear a regular bra with it, when I'm going out I wear a push up with it and my oh my! This dress delivers! lol
Seriously, It is comfortable, looks good and can go either casual or dressy. You need this dress.
