These Hi-Tec Renegade WP hiking boots are waterproof and built with rugged materials to handle rigorous terrain for young adventurers.

Waterproof, seam-sealed suede leather uppers offer durability; breathable nylon mesh underlay improves ventilation
Features waterproof and breathable membranes to keep feet dry and comfortable
Padded collars protect ankles; nylon linings wick moisture away from feet for additional comfort
Gusseted tongues keep out debris, and tongue and heel loops aid entry; brass hardware is rustproof
Board lasted with added steel shank for rigidity and support
Removable EVA insoles and compression-molded EVA midsoles deliver cushioning and support for long treks
Carbon rubber hiking outsoles have self-cleaning lugs and offer solid traction on uneven ground

These were bought for my son. After one day's use, the upper toe protectors are already wearing through. I guess they are doing their job, but they are showing a remarkable amount of wear for an insignificant amount of use.

I'm a woman and have extremely small narrow feet. I can fit a size 4 youth, or woman's size 5 depending on the brand.

I got these for going through different terrain for bird watching (dry, flat trails to very wet and muddy, trails at the edge of the water) in different conditions.

The shoes are very light (though they look heavy) and fit great. I have to wear arch supports for my high arches, and with my arch supports placed in the shoes and with socks, it is comfortable and not tight at all.

The laces aren't the best because they come undone quite easily so you have to tie your shoes very, very tight, but this might not be a problem with time and use.

The box the shoes come in is great because it provides information on how to take care of the shoes (some examples: it gives info on how often to waterproof your shoes and it also clearly states to NOT wash your shoes in the washing machine).

Overall, I am happy with these shoes and recommend these shoes to kids (they are comfortable, have ankle support, keep your feet warm, and there is sufficient space for thick hiking socks) or for adults with small feet!

Bought two pairs of these for my boys (3 & 6). They were perfect for our trip in Cumberland National Historic Park. On day two it poured all day on us, and when they boys took them off their feet were perfectly dry. They never complained about their feet hurting, and they'll be ready for some else to use them another season.

I bought these for my son, need I say more? He is in scouts and has worn them on every trip. His feet stay dry and he has never had any blisters or complained about having sore feet. Considering the cost and how fast kids grow, the boots are well worth the price. The only draw back is they get dirt quick, but not sure if manufactures have figured out how to make self-cleaning boots.
