Comments about Bridgedale Bamboo Crew Socks:

The bridgedale bamboo is my new favorite sock. It's very soft to the touch, thin and breathable but warm. I've used them around the house as well as every day at work and hiking. I think this is as versatile as the wigwam coolmax socks I also think are awesome, only it's thinner and better for cooler temperatures. If it's cooler than 45F-50F in colorado / dryer states for example, you may prefer a thicker sock.

My feet sweat about 10min - 1 hr after drinking coffee so it's nice to have socks that breathe. Also about an hr or so of hiking, my feet start to get sweaty if I'm wearing a boot or non-breathable tennis shoes.

I think this sock is great for trail running shoes and even high tops or light boots, but for mountaineering boots or winter boots / snowsports they may feel too way thin for proper support.

These sox fit perfectly between summer low-profile and heavier wool versions. I use them in particular for winter cycling, but they're my favorites for day-to-day knocking around. (The subtle thing I really like is that they stay up nicely without elastic that's so tight that it leaves an uncomfortable, a half-inch wide indentation around my legs.)

I don’t think I’d choose this sock for a big hiking trip because it feels not as hardcore than my favorite Bridgedale wool socks, but these feel very comfortable and cool for more casual uses. All around a nice sock though.
